The Alva Mural Society is sponsoring the 2nd Northwest Mural Fest in Alva this weekend! 4 contemporary mural artists are coming this week to begin painting 4 new, unique murals in Alva.
On Friday, September 30, you can "Meet the Artists" at Graceful Arts Center from 6-8PM. The gallery and Alva Mural Society are hosting this event so that community members can meet the 4 mural artists bringing interactive art to the city. The artists will also have some small artwork or merchandise for sale during this meet-and-greet.
Saturday, October 1 kicks off at 8AM with the Northwest Mural Fest 5K Fun Run! Registration is $20, which includes a t-shirt and medal. Runners and walkers can pick up a registration form at the Alva Chamber of Commerce office, or you can sign up downtown from 7-7:45AM before the run begins.
From 11AM-2PM, you can enjoy music, games, & food trucks on the downtown square! There will be train rides and CAKE FACE Face Painting for the kids.
Sunday, October 2 starting at 1:00PM, the 4 mural artists will sign their murals. Community members are invited to come take pictures with the new murals and the artists!
